This course is ideal for employees appointed as Fire Marshals, Fire Wardens or those with responsibility for workplace fire safety.

Learners will cover:

• Roles and responsibilities of Fire Marshals and Fire Wardens
• How fires start and spread
• Common workplace fire hazards
• Fire prevention and protection
• Fire safety procedures and raising the alarm
• Emergency evacuation procedures
• Fire doors and escape routes
• Different classes of fire
• Types of fire extinguishers and their uses
• Selecting and safely using the correct fire extinguisher

Training is practical and engaging, with real-world knowledge provided by serving firefighters.

The course includes training on the selection and safe use of portable fire extinguishers, including which extinguisher should be used for different types of fire and when it is safe to use one.

Practical live fire extinguisher training is available as an optional extra, giving learners the opportunity to operate extinguishers against a controlled training fire under the supervision of our firefighter instructors.
