During the course, learners will cover:

• Understanding allergies and anaphylaxis
• Common allergens and triggers
• Recognising the signs and symptoms of an allergic reaction
• Recognising anaphylaxis
• Understanding the difference between mild and severe reactions
• Responding to an anaphylactic emergency
• When and how to administer an adrenaline auto-injector
• Practical use of adrenaline auto-injector training devices
• The importance of emergency procedures and calling 999

The emphasis is on practical, engaging training that gives staff the confidence to act in a real emergency.

Course: Level 3 Award in Allergy and Anaphylaxis Awareness (RQF)

Duration: 2 hours

Delivery: Face-to-face at your school, nursery or workplace

Qualification: Ofqual-regulated Level 3 qualification

Training: Practical and interactive, including the use of adrenaline auto-injector training devices
